The PGA tour made its inaugural visit to Detroit Golf Club in 2019 and has grown immensely both on and off the course. What started as a dream to host a major golf tournament has since paved the way for an even brighter future. Now the event continues on to it’s 4th installment in the Motor City. Lot’s of factors go into a major PGA tour event. We were tasked to help bring this event to life. From tee-to-green we had our hands on all marketing materials for title sponsor Rocket Mortgage.
Goal:
The footprint both digitally and physically for a major golf event is a large hurdle compiled with omni-present road-bumps, delays and last second additions. As a graphic designer and art director I applied brand standards to marketing materials and activations.
Solution:
Turned dream into reality. The tournament is going on its 5th year now and gaining momentum all the way winning numerous awards in the process. Best Special Event as the Area 313 Celebrity Challenge, Best Tournament Sales and the Fair Way award which champions diversity and inclusion initiatives. Rocket Mortgage sought to bring professional golf to the city of Detroit. Not only did we succeed with the process, it is thriving well into the future.
